Why study History at GCSE?

History is all about people - their social and anti-social behaviours. What makes them tick- how they interact, the motives and emotions that can tear people apart into rival factions or help them to work together  collaboratively.

Historians will learn about countries, societies and cultures , both recent and hidden long ago in the past.

You will be learning  to identify truth and recognise  propaganda and "fake news."

You will be taking part in discussion, debate, creating reports, and working collaboratively with others.

All these skills are valuable in a whole range of jobs.
