Writer's picture: History teamHistory team

Neve, Ryan and Paris emerge unscathed from a morning underground the city of Arras, following the footsteps of the New Zealand tunnellers, who busily linked the quarries together to get closer to the German positions. Gathered within this secret base, over 20 000 soldiers from all over the world emerged from the underground, just a few metres from German positions, on the morning of April 9th 1917.
