Vimy Ridge

We trekked up to Vimy Ridge after a short break for lunch. We walked through the crater filled landscape, with trenches as far as the eye could see. Vimy was a defining moment for Canadian troops- formidable and

effective because of the stunning success but at a terrible cost, with more than 10,000 killed and wounded.
